Slayer at Arenele Romane

Slayer's final show in Romania

Slayer will play the last show of their careers in Romania, on the 10th of July in Bucharest at Arenele Romane, as part of the Metalhead Meeting Festival 2019, celebrating 15 years of METALHEAD in Romania at the same time.

If we thought about a band that needed no introduction, Slayer would definitely be one of those bands. It is the band that influenced hundreds of bands, the one that crystallized thrash metal and definitely influenced a lot of extreme metal genres.

Bands such as Gojira, Slipknot, Pantera, Kreator, Mayhem, Darkthrone, Behemoth and System of a Down would not sound the way they do without Slayer. It all started in 1981, when a group of teenagers by the names of Kerry King, Jeff Hanneman, Tom Araya and Dave Lombardo founded the band that would be known as Slayer. King and Hanneman were only 17 at that time, while Lombardo was only 16; the old kid in the group was Araya who was 20 years old at the time.

After 37 years of touring, in which the band created some of the most brutal, shocking and aggressive forms of music, their journey has finally come to an end, with 12 released albums, countless live albums, compilations, live videos, over 3000 concerts and living through the tragedy of losing one of the founding members.

Slayer is currently touring the world one last time to thank all their fans for standing alongside them for almost four decades.
