夢遊病者 (Sleepwalker) have announced the release of “Ѫ (Yus)” on the 26th of April, 2019.
“Sleepwalker” is an international band formed of artists from Japan, Russia and the United States and was formed in 2015. According to their bio, the “members are based as far apart as Osaka – Japan, Tver – Russia, and New York – USA; the band was formed after they became acquainted online, and everything is written sharing ideas and recordings over the internet and finally, when the moment seems right, the three members convene somewhere in person to record”. For fans of Oranssi Pazuzu, Lurker of Chalice, Urfaust or Sigh, Sleepwalker is the perfect fit, taking cues from the improvisational school of jazz and the cathartic nature of ritual folk music and combines it with the raw black metal.
The band consists of:
PBV — guitars / saz / bow / vocals / effects
NN — bass / electrophones
KJM — drums / percussion
According to the label Sentient Ruin through which the EP will be released, “Ѫ (“Yus”) represents a crossing of worlds between the old and the new, the passing of power and skill from ancestor to youth and their successes and failures, the portal between distinct cultures, the obsolete alphabets and their new acquired meanings and the evolution of language and its proxy disciplines like music”. The EP will also be co-released in Europe through Babylon Doom Cult Records.
Tracklist:

- Last Utterance
