NEED’s journey began back in 2004, when the original line-up of the band coagulated itself around guitarist Ravaya and recorded their first material entitled “Avoidinme”. After a few changes, in 2006 the band reached its final and current line-up. Shortly after, the band singed with Burning Star Records and released their debut album “The Wisdom Machine” in November 2006, material which was enthusiastically received by the press. During their promotional tour, NEED had the occasion of sharing the stage with Candlemass, Jon Oliva’s Pain, Threshold and Deadsoul Tribe. In 2011, the band got on stage at the Sonisphere Festival alongside Iron Maiden, Slipknot and Mastodon. The band was also present at ProgPower, one of the most important events dedicated to prog in the United States. Recently, they have released their fourth album entitled “Hegaiamas: A Song for Freedom”; they have also returned from a tour alongside Evergrey, and this autumn they will take part in Prog Power Europe.
