Grave Desecrator live in B52, Bucharest

20 Years of Desecration

As you are already used to, Romanian Thrash Metal Club provides only sick gigs and this one will be no exception! ’cause exceptions are deceptions, n’est pas? – the Grave Desecrator show in Bucharest, dated August 23rd, in full twilight, designed for the true beer hunters and romance janitors!

Let’s see what we prepared for you mongrels! Ah, that’s right, Grave Desecrator – a Brazilian band, assembled in the year of the goat 1998, with three sick albums under their greasy belts, in the traditional weird fuck off & die ways of Sarcófago, Holocausto, Mutilator and our Lord Lucifer, ready for attack after 6 years since their 1st conquer of our Capital City (you got this well, this gang of hyenas have desecrated our streets before), leaving behind only riffs from hell an alcoholic coma for the poor survivors of that show, so by now you already know you’re in serious business with the dead, there’s no backing up, you’ll have to show up or else!

For your displeasure, here’s the facts:

  • Location: B52, near Fabrica Club
  • Time: sometime after 7PM
  • Support: TBA
  • Tickets: 30 RON at the entrance only
  • Be thankful

*UPDATE*

Straight from the horse’s mouth:

The opening band for Grave Desecrator live in B52 is Rancorum.

Rancorum has started with a guitar and a drum kit in the middle of 2014, when N and G found themselves driven by the same passion for good old-school death metal as in the days of their high-school and naturally, the wish to rise something really heavy in Bucharest was shared and hatched.

With early rehearsals covering some legendary death metal tunes, soon their own ideas erupted into a few song lines which have gone through lots of changes until seven compositions were finished. Meanwhile, the duo felt the momentum to grow into a fully fleshed band that could play live gigs. So, after multiple tries and not only one letdown, in April 2018 the actual line-up was completed with L on growling duties, T on rumbling bass and C on driving guitar leads.

As the full band began to rehearse, six songs were recorded to be released in what is to be the first full-length album – THE VERMIN SHRINE – a sordid journey into the ghastly spirit of our world.

Expect RANCORUM to take you back in those days where the drums were spine breaking, the guitar riffs were shuddering and the guttural vocals were mind grinding.
