În anul 2017 va avea loc a cincea ediție de Rockstadt Extreme Fest. Acesta va avea loc în perioada 10-13 august 2017 pe Terenul de Biathlon de la baza cetății din Râșnov. Fiind o ediție aniversară, organizatorii au anunțat de la bun început că va fi cea mai bună ediție de până acum.
Până în momentul de față, s-au confirmat trupele Opeth, Kreator, Carcass, Annihilator, Korpiklaani, Alestorm, Napalm Death, Nile, August Burns Red, Suffocation, Leprous, Fit For An Autopsy, Wolfheart, Napoleon, Jucifer, Last Hope, Give Em Blood, Power Trip, Indian Fall, Diamonds Are Forever, IXXI, Anime Torment, Angrepp, Zombie Attack, Necrovile, Crimena, Teethgrinder, Taine, Grimegod, Allochiria, Am Fost La Munte Și Mi-a Plăcut, Kultika si Blacksheep. Ultimul headliner confirmat în cadrul festivalului este Kreator, o trupa care va reveni în Romania după un an. Ultimul concert al trupei a avut loc în iunie 2016 în cadrul festivalului Metalhead Meeting. Alături de aceasta, și-au mai anunțat prezența trupa britanică Napoleon, respectiv Jucifer din Statele Unite ale Americii. Last Hope din Bulgaria revine în cadrul festivalului după 4 ani, ultima dată aflându-se în line-up-ul primei ediții de Rockstadt Extreme Fest. Totodată, trupa românească Indian Fall și-a anunțat prezența din nou pe scena festivalului.
Kreator este una dintre cele mai importante trupe de thrash metal din lume. Inițial, trupa s-a intitulat Tormentor și s-a format în 1982, dar din anul 1984 există sub numele de Kreator. În cei 33 de ani de carieră, trupa a lansat 14 albume de studio, ultimul fiind “Gods of Violence“, lansat în ianuarie 2017. Este nelipsită de pe marile scene ale lumii, în trecut făcându-și prezența la festivaluri precum Wacken din Germania, Brutal Assault din Cehia sau Hellfest din Franța. Va rămâne mereu cunoscută pentru piese precum “Violent Revolution“, “Phantom Antichrist” sau “Enemy of God“.
Napoleon este o trupă britanică de metalcore. Înființată în 2011, a devenit rapid cunoscută underground-ului extrem odată cu lansarea primelor EP-uri intitulate “Cinderella“, respectiv “What We See“. Primul și singurul album de studio a fost lansat abia în 2016, intitulându-se sugestiv “Newborn Mind“. Are piese precum “Stargazer“, “Afterlife“, “Maps” sau “Brought Here To Suffer“.
Last Hope este o trupă de hardcore din Bulgaria. Înființată în 1995, a lansat 4 albume de studio, ultimul fiind “Chain Reaction“, lansat în anul 2016. A devenit unul dintre cele mai cunoscute nume din muzica extremă bulgară, fiind autoarea unor piese precum “Under The Flag“, “Someone Else” sau “Reality Check“.
Jucifer este probabil cel mai zgomotos duo din lume. Trupa este formată din 2 membrii, luând naștere în 1993 în Georgia, SUA. În cei 24 de ani de carieră, a lansat 7 albume de studio, stilul lor muzical având variații diverse. Are piese sludge, doom metal sau chiar punk, tematica versurilor fiind de natură nihilistă sau piese despre război. Sunt cunoscuți pentru piese precum “She Tides The Deep“, “When She Goes Out” sau “The Mountain“.
Indian Fall este una dintre cele mai vechi trupe de symphonic gothic / black metal din România. Înființată în 1997 în orașul Brașov, trupa a devenit cunoscută underground-ului românesc prin piese precum “Enchanted Rain“, “Phantasmagoric” sau “Dreams are followed“. A lansat primul său album de studio în 2001, intitulându-se sugestiv “Pathfinder“. Trupa și-a oprit activitatea în anul 2004, revenind în 2007, de atunci fiind nelipsiți de pe scenele importante ale muzicii extreme autohtone, precum Rockstadt Extreme Fest. În anul 2009, a lansat cel de-al doilea album de studio intitulat “Seasons in Equilibrium“, ce cuprinde piese precum “To Lose Faith” sau “Ex Inferis“.

The last headliner that was confirmed for the fest is Kreator, a band that will return to Romania after their performance one year ago. The last concert of this band had here was in June 2016, within Metalhead Meeting fest. Besides this band, Napoleon (UK) and Jucifer (USA) have announced their presence. Last Hope from Bulgaria are coming back in the festival, after 4 years, the last time being a part of the line-up of Rockstadt Extreme Fest’s first edition. Moreover, the Romanian band Indian Fall announced their presence again on the fest’s stage.
Kreator is one of the most important Thrash Metal band in the world. Initially, the band was named Tormentor and was founded in 1982, but starting 1984 it exists under the name of Kreator. In 33 years of career, the band launched 14 studio albums, the last one being “Gods of Violence”, launched in January 2017. The band is a constant presence on world’s biggest stages, in the past being part of festivals such as Wacken in Germany, Brutal Assault in Czech Republic or Hellfest in France. It will be always remembered for songs such as: “Violent Revolution”, “Phantom Antichrist” or “Enemy of God”.
Napoleon is a Metalcore Brittish band. Founded in 2011, it became quickly famous in the Extreme underground scene after launching the first EPs titled “Cinderella” and “What We See”. The first and tier only studio album was launched only in 2016, having the suggestive title “Newborn Mind”. They have songs such as “Stargazer”, “Afterlife”, “Maps” or “Brought Here To Suffer”.
Last Hope is a Hardcore Bulgarian band. Founded in 1995, it launched 4 studio albums, the last one named “Chain Reaction”, launched in 2016. It became one of the most famous names in extreme Bulgarian scene, being the author of songs such as: “Under The Flag”, “Someone Else” or “Reality Check”.
Jucifer is probably the loudest duo in the world. The band is formed by 2 members, being borned in 1993 in Georgia, USA. In their 24 years of career, they launched 7 studio albums, their musical style being varied. They have Sludge, Doom Metal or even Punk songs, the theme of their lyrics being nihilism and war. They are known for songs such as: “She Tides The Deep”, “When She Goes Out” or “The Mountain”.
Indian Fall is one of the oldest Symphonic Gothic / Black Metal bands in Romania. Established in Brasov in 1997, the band become famous in the Romanian underground through their songs “Enchanted Rain”, “Phantasmagoric” or “Dreams are Followed”. The first studio album was launched in 2001, having the suggestive title “Pathfinder”. The band stopped their activity in 2004, coming back in 2007, and being ever present since then on the important stages of extreme local music, such as Rockstadt Extreme Fest. In 2009, they launched their second studio album, “Seasons in Equilibrium”, with songs such as “To Lose Faith” or “Ex Inferis”.
